Ever since 4/13/07, the Net Detective Toolbar has undergone design construction - although it's completed - we still are continuing to add anything of value to the toolbar so that you become an extension of information resources on the internet! Some sites ask for GIF, JPEG or BMP images, therefore all are shown. And at the same time, you yourselves get the opportunity to see a sample of the Net Detective toolbar as well. Don't forget that you can add or delete whatever icons, separators, etc... that you do not like.

Also please note that the scope of this extension is NOT as extensive as NoScript, and was not designed to compete with it. If you like NoScript then that's fine and this may not be the extension for you. However this extension is ideal for those who prefer a simpler to use, less invasive interface while still having easier access to the controls.

Developer Comments
Find the Showcase menu in the 'View' menu (just under 'Sidebar'). The default shortcuts are listed there. Those may be changed using the Keyconfig extension. New buttons will be available when customizing the toolbar.
Showcase can be shown as a window, tab or sidebar. Also, it has two modes: global (which will show thumbnails for all tabs of all windows) and local (thumbnails only for the current Firefox window).
Just click the thumbnail of the browser you want, and it will be shown to you automatically. You may also right click in those thumbnails to perform the most usual operations on them. Multiple thumbanils can be selected
by using left click and holding down the Control key, or using the same selection actions you would use in your system. Mouse middle button can be used to zoom a thumbnail. Use Control-F in Showcase to use the find bar.

A button pack for Firefox, Thunderbird and Sunbird:
This Extension adds buttons to the Customize Toolbar Window. To move them from there to the Toolbar you must right click the toolbar and press customize select what buttons you want to use and drag them to the toolbar.
There are now 95 buttons for Firefox, 58 for Thunderbird, and 26 for Sunbird. I have received requests for more buttons to be added, this version addressed a number of those requests but not all, I am working on added them now.
Some may notice that there is a button added to the Thunderbird customize toolbar window to add new Toolbars, just like there is in Firefox. This can be used for the many buttons in this extension if the default toolbars can't fit them, and getting the location bar back! How often do you add websites to your favorites folder?
This is simply a small collection of websites, organized into folders, sections of interest, etc.... Everything from shopping, shopping price comparison websites (See who's selling what you want for the cheapest price!) Also, a collection of strange, unusual places to capture your interest, game websites, map websites, best of the best search engine websites, Websites selling assorted foods and candies, a collection of the most popular and beyond of e-card websites, museums, auctions, automotive, books, campsites, carnivals, celebrities, computers softwares, computer hardwares, cooking websites, recipies, entertainment, educational, exercise, freeware, gadgets, gardening, genealogy, health, home improvement, humor, jobs, kitchen appliances, kids websites, languages, law enforcement, movies, tv, real estate and so much more!

All of this is captured in the form of a "zip" file (For those of you who do not know how to open a zip file - the easiest way possible to do so would be through the use of this program called "JustZipIt", found at:  http://free-backup.info/justzipit.html) Once the zip file is opened, the file you will see is called the "Favorites" file. After you have unzipped it - It is ready to be copied and pasted into the area of your hard drive where your computer's "Favorites" folder is already at. You can find your favorites folder by using Windows "Search" feature to look through your hard drive. Once this "Favorites" folder is copied and pasted over your Favorites folder, allow it to overwrite any pre-existing files as it adds many websites for you to visit at your leisure. After the pasting is complete - Firefox users may then "import" the Internet Explorer Favorites folder into the Firefox browser, allowing Firefox users to enjoy the many websites available.

While trying out this new database of websites - should any of the websites no longer be available (Some website owners do not renew their contracts, thus making the website non-accessible), simply delete the ones that are no longer accessible by right clicking on the link and then left clicking on "delete". This will rid the favorites folder of any unwanted or non-accessible sites. The same may be done for entire folders. Then come back to the FAVORITES FOLDER link, right-click on the link and then left-click on one of two choices: "OPEN LINK IN IE TAB" or "OPEN TARGET LINK IN IE". 1st choice opens a new window, allowing you to click on the link and download as usual. 2nd choice opens the download right there for you.
